Hello!
In my international studies class, we were given a task that gave us freedom to choose a humanitarian issue in our world. It simply had to be an issue that we felt was important and interesting to us, for our Global Inquiry Task. Immediately, the topic that came to mind was edcuation.
Education, I feel, is extremley important. It gives us the ability to create, learn, be inspired and inspire others through knowledge. It allows you to create a life for yourself, to provide an income, support yourself and your family and achieve your career goals. However, this opportuinty is not always available. This is commonly seen in developing countries. More specifically, education is often limited or even unavailable entirely for women. Therefore, I will research the ongoing problem of the lack of female education in developing countries and how this contrasts to the opportunities for girls education in Australia.
The main questions I will be answering though this assignment is:

What inequalities exist in developing countries in relation to female education and why?
Therefore, I will be looking at this issue through case studies, the ripple effects, inequalities between men and women and investigate two profile countries where this issue is ongoing.
